3 authors discuss writing and publishing books

Lanie Goodell never thought of herself as a horror writer. In fact, her first finished novel was a YA Paranormal Romance. However, it has not yet seen the light of day (Though it has been revamped and is in editing now!). Lucky for her, a friend was bored one day and wanted her to write a story. She was also bored and readily agreed. 80,000 words later, he had a horror book. Probably more than he bargained for, but she was pretty excited about the outcome.

From that moment, a horror writer was born. Published in several anthologies with micro-fiction pieces, as well as a piece on the launch of the Apathy Press website, Lanie has immersed herself in the world of horror. She uses her degrees in criminal justice and psychology to write scenes that are technically accurate and chilling. Though she loves sharing her work with the world, the best part is having friends call her to say they will never sleep again.

In February 2020, Lanie once again expanded her profile to include Adult Paranormal Romance with the publication of Lunae Lumen. While she has always been obsessed with vampires, she hadn’t tried writing about them previously. She was thrilled with the outcome and couldn’t wait to share it with the world.
