Robot Dogs Now Have Assault Rifles Mounted On Their Backs

Ghost Robotics and SWORD International have teamed up to create a rifle-toting “robot dog.” Called the Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle, or SPUR, the system adds a 6.5mm Creedmoor rifle from SWORD to one of Ghost Robotics’ quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicles, or Q-UGVs.

Microsoft stops record-breaking 2.4 Tbps DDoS attack

In a Monday blog post, Microsoft said that an undisclosed European Azure cloud platform customer suffered a record-breaking 2.4 Tbps (terabytes per second) distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. Thankfully, it was mitigated by Azure’s DDoS protection platform.

Verizon’s Visible Wireless Carrier Confirms Credential-Stuffing Attack

On Wednesday, Verizon’s Visible – an all-digital, uber-cheap wireless carrier – confirmed what customers have been complaining about on Reddit and Twitter all week: They lost control of their accounts; had their passwords and shipping addresses changed; and some got stuck with bills for pricey new iPhones.
